It was the second consecutive month of declines in sales, led by textiles, apparel and footwear (-5.4 percent), books, newspapers, magazines, and stationery (-3.8 percent), and computer and communication office equipment and supplies (-1.7 percent). On an annual basis, retail sales decreased by 0.3 percent, following a 0.2 percent decline in the prior month.
