Private sector credit in Australia rose by 0.9 percent month-over-month in June 2022, the same pace as an upwardly revised figure in the prior month. The latest reading stayed at its strongest pace in five months for the third consecutive month, with credit continuing to grow for both business (1.5 percent vs 1.4 percent in May) and housing (0.6 percent vs 0.6 percent). On the flip side, personal credit fell 0.4 percent after edging up 0.1 percent in May. Through the year to May, private credit gained 9.1 percent.
