Private new capital expenditure on equipment, plant and machinery in Australia grew by 2.1 percent quarter-on-quarter in the three months to June 2022, after an upwardly revised 1.5 percent increase in the previous period. This contrasted with a 2.5 percent fall in buildings and structures investments, which was a reversal from a downwardly revised 0.6 percent contraction in the March quarter Through the year to June, spending on equipment, plant and machinery went up 3.2 percent.
