The BusinessNZ Performance of Manufacturing Index in New Zealand increased to 52.7 in July of 2022 from 49.7 in the previous month, rising back into expansion territory but still below the long-term average of 53.1 for the survey. New orders rebounded (50.5 vs 47.9) and employment rose (52.6 vs 51.3). Meanwhile, production improved but remained in contraction (49 vs 48) and both finished stocks (49.4 vs 49.9) and deliveries (49.4 vs 51.6) dropped further.
