Poland’s current account deficit widened to EUR 1,468 million in June of 2022 from EUR 464 million in the corresponding period of the previous year, but well below market estimates of a EUR 2,350 deficit. The goods account swung to a deficit of EUR 849 million from a EUR 321 million surplus, and the secondary income gap widened sharply to EUR 1,039 million from EUR 351 million. On the other hand, the services surplus rose to EUR 2,880 million from EUR 2,512 million and the primary income gap narrowed to EUR 2,460 million from EUR 2,946 million.
